So, what’s a “wave design”?
Well, this keyboard from Logitech has a continuous curve design, unlike other ergonomic keyboards that feature a “split” in order to position the halves of the keyboard at a greater angle.
This may or may not be a benefit to you, depending upon how angled you like your keyboard.
Now, included with the wave design is a palm rest area that you can clearly see as the extended area below the actual keys. Now, on it’s own this is a good addition, but you also have the ability to adjust the height with 3 different options.
The MK550 is wireless and has a long battery life with a claimed 3 years…that’s right. 3 YEARS on just 2 AA batteries, and the mouse can last 2 years (also with 2 AA batteries).
That’s a great lifetime, it’s likely that most people will change the batteries once, maybe twice over the total lifetime.
It’s “plug and play” – you get a receiver unit that you plug into your computer, pop in the batteries to the keyboard and mouse, and away you go. The receiver unit is extremely small which is great if you’re using this with a laptop or desktop computer.
Be sure to adjust the height components on the keyboard, take a few minutes to test these out and see which feels best for you.
